HOOVER THURSDAY NIGHT POT TOURNAMENT
MAY 7 2015 - SEPTEMBER 17, 2015
1. The entry fee is $30 per boat, 70% payback each week. A side big bass pot is offered at $5 per boat. The big bass side pot will pay back 100% each week.
2. The starting time of the tournament will be 5:30 p.m. All entry fees must be paid at the Walnut Street Boat Ramp prior to the tournament start time. No late entries will be accepted after 5:30 p.m.
3. The tournament ending time will be announced by the officials. Be sure to find out before you leave.
4. The weekly tournament will pay back to the top three places.
5. You may launch your boat from the Walnut Street boat ramp or any other ramp around Hoover Reservoir. If you do not launch your boat at the Walnut Street boat ramp, you must be back in the Walnut Street boat ramp parking lot at the time given or you will be disqualified.
6. Whether you launch at the Walnut Street boat ramp or not, you will receive a weigh in bag before and up to the designated ending time. If you do not receive a weigh in bag by then, you are automatically disqualified. All teams are expected to bring their catch to the scale in a timely manner. All fish must be returned to the water at the Walnut Street ramp.
7. There will be a five fish limit per boat. Only smallmouth and largemouth bass are to be weighed. All culling must be done on the water. Any boat with more than five fish in the livewell at any time will be disqualified. Big bass will be used to break any and all ties.
8. Minimum length is 12 inches measured on a flat board with the fish’s mouth closed. Officials will have a board at the weigh in station if needed. If you have a questionable fish, have it measured prior to bringing it up for weigh in.
9. Each paying team will receive 5 points as show up points each week.
10. Each team weighing in fish will be awarded points as follows: 50 points for 1st place, 49 points for 2nd place, 48 points for 3rd place, etc.
11. NO LIVE BAIT ALLOWED - only artificial baits are permitted. All boats must be equipped with a working livewell.
12. Absolutely NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted. This is cause for immediate disqualification from all future Hoover Thursday Night Pot Tournaments.
13. A one pound penalty will be given for every dead fish that is weighed. A one pound penalty will be given for every short fish. Dead fish do not qualify for big bass money.
14. If you have any questions or complaints, present them in writing to a tournament official prior to the announcement of that week's tournament winners.
15. Anyone trying to cheat in any way, shape or form will be disqualified at once, will automatically forfeit the entry fee for that team and banned from all future Hoover Thursday Night Tournaments.
16. Please obey the 50 yard rule.
17. Alternates must be named no later than the end of the third tournament.
18. This is a buddy type tournament and will be fished as such. No team member will be permitted to fish more than 4 (four) tournaments alone and should put forth every effort to ensure that one of the team’s alternates would be able to fill in for the team member. The team’s alternate must fish (2) two tournaments in order to qualify to fish the fish off. A team’s alternate may not be an alternate for another team or fish with another person during tournament hours. One team member must be part of the team at all times.
19. Teams must fish fifteen (15) tournaments to be eligible for the fish off.
20. The Points Champions will be entitled to participate the following year without paying the entry fees but must pay into the big bass pot in order to participate. Should the winning team split for the following year, then the rights of free entry will remain with the winning boater (boat owner) of the winning year.
21. ALL RULINGS MADE BY THE OFFICIALS ARE FINAL!
22. Once a team member or alternate exits the boat to go get the vehicle and trailer, that team's fishing is deemed completed for that night's event. No further fishing from the remaining team member or alternate waiting in the boat is permitted.
23. The use of the Alabama Rig or any facsimile is permitted as long as there are only three hooks being used in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State of Ohio Division of Wildlife.
*****FISH OFF RULES*****
1. 30% of the entry fees each tournament will go toward the fish off at the end of the season. The top five places will be paid at the fish off.
2. The fish off will pay back 100%.
3. The team’s alternate must fish (2) two tournaments in order to qualify to fish the fish off. A team’s alternate may not be an alternate for another team or fish with another person during tournament hours. One team member must be part of the team at all times.
4. The top 16 teams and any teams that fish all 20 tournaments will fish the fish off September 19th from 7a.m. until 3 p.m.
5. Hoover Reservoir will be off limits to all fish off teams and their respective alternates beginning September 17, 2015 @ 12:01a.m.
